After six months of hard work, we are delighted to report that we have ignition and OpsBase is well on its way on its way into orbit.
We have certainly taken the time to conduct all the pre-launch checks and design tweaks that you would expect for a mission of this importance. And as well as our crew, we have to thank the army of ground staff who has, as you would expect for a mission of this importance, checked and double checked every aspect of the design.
Taking advice
Working with industry experts, beta customers and partner organisations, we have tested and retested every principle, feature and user interface to ensure that it is right for our customers and a joy to use.
Most of all we want to thank our advisory group, and a core group of 10 hotels, restaurants and bars who have implemented OpsBase and whose own needs and experiences have contributed so much to the final design. We didn’t want to rush it out to the market at large, without being 100% sure that our customers could get all the benefits from the system from day 1.
User Experience
Also crucial has been the design of the user experience. It has been a point of principle from the very beginning that in order to achieve the results we want for our customers, the product has to be incredibly intuitive. All our users are busy, mobile and do not have time for lengthy training. Plus, many are front of house, and taking their time away from engaging with customers to use a device is not the outcome anyone wants.
Feedback
We are thrilled with the response that we have had so far. Almost everyone that has seen it has understood clear value, and those that know the hospitality tech marketplace have confirmed that we have something not currently on offer. Confirmed too, is the number of businesses who agree with us that the joining of the operations and workforce scheduling in a single platform is a very natural move, and are moving from their existing scheduling app to ours.
